This place is a really good mom and pop. The ribs are pretty good and the potato salad is really good. The corn bread is soft and warm with crunchy edges which I really like. The mac and cheese could use a little salt but I'm super heave handed with salt so I'll give it a pass. Overall a great meal. The plate was 10 bucks but the drink is separate. Oh and an added bonus: great 90s r&b music selection.

While stationed in the area many moons ago, Hogs on the Hill was the go to BBQ spot for those of us who didn't want to burn down the base attempting to smoke anything, lol. Back in the area for a visit so decided to make a stop here and see if they still got it. I ordered the 4pc fried catfish w/greens and coleslaw and cornbread; the small rib tips w/mixed sauce. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich w/coleslaw and hush puppies. Considering ourselves somewhat of "foodies", we were not overall disappointed. The portion of fried catfish was huge!!! 1 portion would usually be a 2 portion serving somewhere else. It was breaded just right (flour/cornmeal mix with some seasonings), no fishy smell, and hot! The coleslaw was good, right mix of slaw and sauce, the greens were unfortunately just bland and not very tasteful. The rib tips w/mixed sauce were excellent!!! I probably should have ordered that as the main meal! If I go back before leaving the area, a large rib tips w/mixed sauce will be my meal to go. My wife enjoyed her pulled pork sandwich w/mixed sauce. Just right is what she said, lol. She also enjoyed the hush puppies as well. It appears the place may be under new management but I couldn't tell a difference (as in decline) regarding the service or food. They also now offer Korean Bulgogi (I will probably try it next time).

The place was just remodel and the new owners bbq was so much better then the past owners. The owners are really nice also. The best rib in the Washington, D.C. Area. The place is super clean including the bathrooms. Always enjoy the food but never ate there because it was so old but since new owners remodel the place it looks amazing. Thank you, Vicky

Enjoyed the Baby Back Ribs I ordered very much. They were meaty with a well-smoked flavor. Also, the side of beans were very good and the cole slaw tasted fresh with not too much mayonnaise. Overall, I felt I got good value for my money.

1st time here today. This is so good. Ribs are tender and full of flavor. While they don't need sauce, if you decide to get some be sure you can handle the hot. Next time I will opt for the mixed sauce. It isn't unbearably hot but it's hot enough, lol. I also got a Korean beef dish with rice and cabbage. I wish I could remember what the name of it is but it is delicious. I will definitely be going back.

Came to this restaurant for the 1st time after passing it on my way home for months.. and it was the best decision I made! I got the rib tip dinner platter with greens and potato salad and it was very good. I am coming back more often and trying out the bulgogi next.

Service was great.. was hesitant from previous reviews but I loved the croaker I got! Wasn't gummy or chewy like previous review.. very meaty! I also got the yams and mac and cheese which was both amazing! Overall I had a great experience, it's a family owned business and I believe their daughter was working at the counter and she was extremely nice.

My family and I have eaten at Hogs on the Hill for at least 9 years, and we have never had a bad meal. The smell of the hickory smoke drew us in and the delicious food keeps us going back. The hot BBQ sauce is fantastic. I wish they would open a restaurant in Waldorf.

I went there with my husband to get some dinner, since he loves bbq. It was very clean a lot of open space for dinning in which was great. The woman behind the counter was very pleasant and gave me great descriptions and options for me to choose from. Which is great since I'm always indecisive!

I chose the ribs because of her recommendation and I normally don't eat ribs... and I instantly fell In love with them! I got mac and cheese along with greens as my 2 sides and the corn bread... all amazing!!! Husband got pulled pork and he devoured it! He also got mac and cheese along with yams and he was very pleased!

Overall.... i am a lifer! I definitely recommend everyone to come here. They give a lot of food for a good price, clean, very nice owners, clean bathrooms, and great food!

This is an excellent eatery. The music and cleanliness and customer of the place really makes you feel confident that you are going to get the best of what they have. The food is fresh and always hot. Each dish has a homemade southern taste to it.

My family and I have frequented Hogs on the Hill for years. A good local business for barbeque. You can tell that it's smoked right there. Always tender. Not cooked in sauce because - it's smoked! Their fries are always crisp and the greens are ok. Great place to go for lunch.

The Food is amazing. Ribs was amazing and chicken wings are even better. Cook with real wood so, you get the amazing smell. I would go there again. The place needs to be remodel. They will be remodeling soon, place will look better so, we can enjoy eating there. Also have amazing pumkin pie.

I've been going to this location since I was a teenager. I am 30 now & it's still my favorite place to eat for dinner or lunch!! The owner is such a sweet woman. The food is sooooooo delicious I crave it at work & make the order via phone as I walk from the Metro!

The food here is so good!!! So far I have had Ribs, Chicken, Lemon Pepper Wings, Fried Fish, Pulled pork, potato salad, and collard greens. I tried the mac and cheese once but it wasn't like mine so it was just okay. Other than that I am hooked and I love the spicy bbq sauce! The customer service is always awesome too!!

The pulled beef and pork were delicious. We chose dinners with multiple sides.. The kids loved the Mac & Cheese and the fries were cut and cooked to perfection...the baked beans while tasty needed to cook just a little longer. With all this amazing food I was a little disappointed they didn't offer peach cobbler as a dessert ...instead they had carrot cake ...hmmmm

All I could say was "yyyyumm" after my meal. The food was delicious and the employees at this establishment were extremely friendly. In regards to parking you just park in the back and they have a good size dinning area if you opt to not do carryout. Overall I had a wonderful experience.

I ordered the 3 piece fried whiting with collard greens and french fries. Weird combo but I enjoyed every bite. The fish was seasoned and fried well, and they have some really tasty hush puppies I would advise anyone considering ordering from here to try. Speaking of ordering, I advise anyone to call ahead. On a Friday evening business seemed to pick up.. The downside, they do not grill their trout/whiting(all fried) it would be great if they offered a grilled option..Dine-in is available

Best place I've found to eat in the area so far. Everything made fresh to order and fast. Prices reasonable. Tenders were a bit dry when we got them but the ribs and fish are delicious. Also love the macaroni and cheese. Super friendly staff. Bummed they aren't open on Sundays!
